Beta terms

These will change as RentRecon matures; material changes will be announced.

1. The service

RentRecon reads rental-related bills and statements you provide, categorizes the charges, compares selected charges with estimated fair local prices from public sources and with your own documents (vendor invoices, quotes you approved), answers questions about your account via an AI assistant, and helps you prepare billing-review and document-request correspondence that you send.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account. The beta is invite-only: one account per owner.

3. Your content

You own the documents you forward. You give us permission to process them to provide the service, including through the providers named in the privacy policy.

4. What the service is not

Estimates are informational. RentRecon is not an appraisal, an accounting audit, a credit or consumer report, or legal, financial, or tax advice. Estimates can be wrong, and AI-generated content — including assistant answers and drafted correspondence — can be wrong; review before you rely on or send anything. You are responsible for the decisions you make and the communications you send.

5. Communications

RentRecon does not contact your property manager or vendors. Documents the service drafts are sent by you, under your name, at your discretion.

6. Acceptable use

No unlawful use. Do not submit documents you have no right to share. Do not use generated documents to harass anyone.

7. Beta

The service is free during the beta and provided "as is." It may change or be discontinued; we will offer you a way to export your data before any discontinuation.

8. Liability

The service is provided as is during the beta. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service (currently zero).

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as RentRecon matures. Material changes will be announced.
